This tasty salad contains plenty of antioxidants to support the immune system and detoxifiers to support the liver.
In one artichoke, we reap lean benefits from its diuretic properties, along with its antioxidants, which support a strong immune system. Among its abundant benefits, garlic is a detoxifier that triggers the liver to release toxins from the body—a great way to maintain a healthy gut and a lean belly.
What You’ll Need
5 Tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup parsley
3 cloves garlic, diced
12 baby artichokes, frozen or canned, chopped
6 cups mixed greens
Make it YogaLean
- In a blender, blend the lemon juice, olive oil, pepper, parsley and garlic until smooth and thick, approximately 2 minutes.
- Toss artichokes in the dressing and serve over mixed greens.
