Answers to some Frequently Asked Questions
Will I get paid as an apprentice? Not at first. The first four trainings or assists you do with a Trainer are unpaid and considered part of the interview process. After the four initial assists, you may be eligible for promotion to Paid Assist.
How many trainings do I need to do before becoming a Paid Assist? There is no set number of trainings an Apprentice must assist before being promoted to Paid Assist beyond the four initial ones; Promotions depend on a number of criteria, including written and oral evaluations from trainers and how well Apprentices incorporate the feedback they’ve been given.
Once I become a trainer, how much do I get paid? It varies. Trainers get paid based on their experience and the number of students attending each training. All trainers get reimbursed for their training-related expenses.
Where are the trainings held? We try to keep trainers as close to home as possible, but sometimes air travel will be necessary. Apprentices can choose whether to travel to trainings, but we do not expect them to incur travel expenses while they are in the program.
Are there any other criteria I need to comply with? Our Trainers present the YogaFit curriculum on weekends throughout the year, both nationally and internationally, so you will need to have weekends free. You must remain in compliance with Yoga Alliance, which means you must be RYT-200 to lead YogaFit Levels One and Two, and E-RYT for YogaFit’s higher levels and specialty courses.
