YogaFit Enthusiast Newsletter - January 2012
Dear YogaFit Family:
As we usher in the New Year I am excited. With a number of new trainings on the horizon and additional locations for YogaFit's Mind Body Fitness Conferences- there will be lots of new educational opportunities for teachers and students alike. I spent a great deal of time with members of my YogaFit family this Holiday Season, from Los Angeles where we had visitors from YogaFit Canada, Utah and Taiwan to Hawaii where YogaFit will be hosting a retreat in 2012. I feel so blessed to know and be connected to such wonderful people that are part of the global force that is YogaFit.
2012 is the year of the Dragon. According to Chinese Astrology, the Year of the Dragon will seem full of energy and the spirit of the dragon will make everything seem "larger than life". Sometimes, things will seem better than they actually are and the year will be an over-ambitious and daring one. The Chinese consider the Year of the Dragon to be a good time for people to get married, have children or begin a business venture as the year tends to bring good fortune and happiness. Business should go well and people will make money more easily.
We are also entering into the Age of Aquarius. Many see the Age of Aquarius as being the age of computers, freedom, electricity, rebels, astrology, and humanitarianism, among other ideals. Some hope the age will bring in a time of philanthropy and peace. Not everyone agrees on what the Age of Aquarius will bring to mankind, but all agree some kind of change is coming.
Many people have asked me what my resolutions are for 2012 - they are simple this year. More peace, less stress. More simplicity, less conflict. More space, less clutter.
Let us all strive to have goals but be flexible in the way they manifest themselves. Often the Universal plan is greater than we can ever direct via a goal sheet or planning calendar.
"Twenty years from now you will more be disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
See you on road.
