Where’s Beth this Month?
Beth Shaw has more energy than most of us will ever have and it can often be difficult to keep up with her! The last few weeks proved no exception. The very end of March found Beth in New York where she taught several classes at the ECA 360 Fitness Inspire Conference. “I’ve been presenting at the ECA since 1999,” Beth says, “It was really nice to be back, seeing old friends and meeting so many new ones.”
Barely two weeks later, Beth flew to Cologne, Germany, where she joined 150,000 other fitness and yoga aficionados at FIBO, the “Leading International Trade Fair for Fitness, Wellness and Health.” She certainly got a workout. “I logged in about 6 miles a day just walking the show,” she says, which filled 10 halls with more than 1000 exhibitors. She got an opportunity to see emerging trends within the fitness market—a lot of suspension training this year as well as baseline testing machines, which seem to be all the rage. For all you fitness, health and wellness teachers out there, Beth says she recommends this show highly.
YogaFit Goes Down Under
Lisa Greenbaum, director of YogaFit Canada, is in her happy places these days: Australia and New Zealand, where she’s been teaching yoga to enthusiastic crowds. She started the three-week trip in New Zealand with the first ever Level One: Foundations training and then moved on to Sydney, Australia, presenting at the FILEX/Ignite Yoga conference. On top of everything else, she’s happy to report that YogaFit’s full 200-hour teacher training program is in full swing Down Under. Well done, Lisa!
Go North to Alaska—a few spots left!
And speaking of trainings, don’t forget about Alaska! We’ve got a few spots left for this amazing yoga retreat with Master Trainer Kristin Mabry. But you’ll need to make a decision by May 8th—so don’t delay! Experience one of the most beautiful places on Earth while you practice yoga, hang with new and old friends, and even satisfy one of the requirements for your 300-hour RYT, if you’re on the teacher training path. Contact Kristin for more details. (Kristin@MountainsideWellness. com).
