What's your favourite yoga pose and why?
My favorite pose is Bird of Paradise (Swargadvijasana)… it makes me feel open, strong and beautiful and it was the first advanced pose I conquered.
If you could have any super power which one would it be?
My super power would be to be invisible, translucent so I could see and hear all without being seen and then I could help anyone that needs it without being seen ….. just knowing they are better because of my help would be amazing!
What are your morning must-haves?
I love waking before anyone else and sitting outside to just be… and a Venti Green Tea Soy Latte with 8 scoops of matcha :)
Do you have a hidden talent that only your close friends/family know of?
Shhhh….I can play the piano
How did you discover YogaFit?
I was living in Colorado Springs, Colorado and there was a flyer at my fitness facility…. this is where my story began with YogaFit
What influenced your decision to become a YogaFit Master Trainer?
Two people, Sandi Call, our manager of everything :) and our founder Beth Shaw. When I was taking trainings to complete my 200 RYT, I had Sandi for my Level 3 and Prenatal and she told me at the end of the training that I should consider becoming a trainer. The same year a month later, I met Beth in NY at an ECA conference and she gave me her card and said when I completed my 200 RYT to call her and that was it!
What has been the impact of your yoga teacher training in your life and in the lives of those you teach?
Oh wow..this is such a personal but yet public part of me. I must say each time I teach a training and have the opportunity to meet and share space with our students, it gives me such joy (santosha)! I always have this overwhelming feeling that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be! It fills my soul. I LOVE to see the shifts, changes and ah - hah moments with our students. I know that I’ve been the conduit of amazing transformation for their good!
What advice would you give to someone who is just starting their yoga journey?
BE OPEN. Allow yourself to be a well, so you can be filled over and over and over again. oh and practice! Our ancient teachers truly understood what is the most important aspect and gift…PRACTICE. So do both and watch your world expand to a place that is unimaginable. Namaste'
