I loved Level 3 because introspection - wow. And, I loved Level 4 for deepening my connections to yoga traditions and to those I spent the four days with.
The Title of Your Biography?
Student of Life
I love the modular format that allows me to spread out the investment and take my time with the material between trainings.
What brought you to your mat?
My high school drama teacher – Mr. Crocker. I loved the meditations and visualizations we did in his class. Wanting more, I signed up for my first yoga class.
How did you discover YogaFit?
I discovered YogaFit through my work as a group fitness instructor with Goodlife and certification with CanFitPro.
What made you decide to choose YogaFit as part of your yoga journey?
Initially, I chose YogaFit because I wanted an introductory training to learn how to put together a practice for myself. I got way more than I anticipated from that training (Level One) and I was hooked. I immediately signed up for Level 2 and committed myself to the 200-hour journey.
What has been the impact of your yoga teacher training in your life and in the lives of those you teach?
I feel like I am just scratching the surface in understanding the impact this journey has had and is having on me. What I do know, is that I am changed. I hope in some small way the people that I teach are impacted positively by this change. I am so grateful that I get to do this.
What's your favourite YogaFit memory?
My first kirtan which was at the April 2016 Toronto MBF Conference. I was so fully present in that moment and the energy was just incredible!
When you look forward, what does your yoga journey look like?
Never-ending. I will be completing my 200-hour Teacher Training at the October 2017 Toronto MBF Conference. I am very excited about this milestone, but it is most definitely not the end. I think there is a 500-hour milestone in my future.
