Let’s draw our attention to our heart.
Feel it beating in your chest.
As we inhale, moving the breath into the heart, allowing it to expand.
Feeling its cadence, let’s take some of our attention to the fingertips of our left hand, and try to find our heartbeat there. When we think we’ve found that sensation, drawing an imaginary line from the left hand to the heart.
Noticing the energy moving between the heart and the hand.
Without losing that connection, let’s draw our attention to our left toes.
When we think we’ve found that heartbeat, let’s draw an imaginary line from the toes to the heart.
Noticing the energy moving from the hand to the heart, to the foot, to the heart, illuminating the limbs with energy from the heart.
Without losing those connections, let’s try to find our heartbeat in our right toes.
Again, once we’ve found that pulse, making a connection between the right toes and the heart.
Noticing the conversation from the heart to the extremities.
Without losing those 3 points of contact, let’s draw our attention to the fingertips of right hand.
Again, finding our heartbeat there, let’s draw an imaginary line from the hand to the heart.
Feeling the illumination of the entire torso and limbs with love and acceptance.
Now, let’s try to find our pulse at the crown of our head, perhaps the most elusive place to find our heartbeat, and again, making a connection from the head to the heart.
Noticing that we have created our own internal 5 pointed star similar to the five pointed star from our warm up.
Feeling the heart’s energy radiating out in all directions, knowing that all things begin and end with the heart.
Continuing to rest here for the next few moments, maintaining our attention at the heart, breathing into it, creating space for growth and expansion, and allowing the heart to converse with the body, resting and restoring here, in Savasana.
