Since 1980, CJ has been a central banker, commercial banker, investment banker, merchant banker, M&A advisor, CEO and venture specialist in Asia and US. He has served in each C-Suite position as needed. He lived in Asia for 15 years until 2004, and founded a merchant bank, Global Alliance Ltd, in 1994 with offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Los Angeles and New York, and branches in Sydney and Henley. The firm completed acquisitions, financings and dispositions for clients, and invested directly in growth companies. He began his career at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, DC. From 1980 to 1983 he was an Analyst with Special Studies involved in econometric forecasting. From 1982 he also served as mediator for the Washington, DC Family Courts. In addition to other conferences, he has presented at the Euromoney Conference in London for Advanced Strategies for Company Valuation. In 2000 he spoke at UAE International Forum with Nelson Mandela on New Wave Mergers and Alliances. CJ has been quoted in BusinessWeek, Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune, Nikkei, Japan Times, American Chamber of Commerce, Forbes, Daily Deal, Reuters and elsewhere. CJ is a Life Member of the Tokyo Club, City Club, Capital Club and Himalayan Mountain Trust, and a Baden-Powell Fellow of the World Scout Foundation. He served as a Board Member of the South Florida Technology Alliance and Chair of their Capital Committee, Board Member of the Gold Coast Venture Capital Association and Co-Chair of their Affiliates Committee and Board of Advisors of University of Wisconsin Economics Dept. He currently is board member of People Tree Ltd (UK) in addition to other boards. His expertise is in building value by fixing and growing firms in any field and by originating and executing transactions leading to full or partial liquidity events or global partnerships.
