Pregnancy Yoga
Yoga offers myriad benefits to pregnant women, as well as to women who have recently given birth. At YogaFit, we offer workshops for experienced instructors who would like to enhance their careers by developing a unique skill set. Our prenatal yoga classes were developed specifically for us by a highly skilled OBGYN who also has years of experience in yoga.
Our prenatal yoga classes are simple to teach, and they are focused on the safety of the students. You will learn how basic yoga poses can be used to reduce the pains of pregnancy, and how they can even relieve problems related to morning sickness. The breathing techniques and pelvic floor exercises can be used during labor to reduce the pain and ease the process. The techniques you develop for your class are safe for use in all trimesters. The pregnancy yoga program we have developed can easily carry over into the postpartum period. Additional poses are designed to aid in the natural healing process new mothers undergo. When a student has completed pregnancy yoga classes, she will have no problem moving directly into a traditional yoga class. We also offer workshops for instructors interested in teaching mother/baby classes, as well as classes designed specifically for children.
