A YogaFit Trainee's Alaska Retreat Experience

Friday, January 24, 2014
For over 15 years I have maintained a regular yoga practice in my busy life. However, I never had the opportunity to devote an entire week to my practice free from all the chaos and demands of regular routines. In May 2013 I decided to take the journey from Toronto, Canada to Juneau Alaska for the YogaFit Alaskan retreat. Being in this sacred environment with others who enjoy yoga opened my body, heart and mind to self exploration within in a safe connected community. My educational trainings toward my RYT 200 with YogaFit gave me a wonderful foundation of one aspect of yoga. But, being on retreat and immersing myself in the practice deepened my experiential learning of YogaFit’s teachings. This journey positively impacted my life so much that I am heading back to immerse myself in the Alaskan intensive again!
